Made in France

Because at Eugène Perma “Made in France” is not just a label, we have been committed for decades to imagine, design and manufacture more than 90% of our production in France.

This position was strongly reaffirmed in 2003 when Didier Martin, the Group’s new president, decided to stop Spanish production and centralize it in Reims, Champagne-Ardenne.

In 2004, our new Parchimy production site, committed to a French environmental approach on a daily basis, was inaugurated on a 63,000 m2 site.

Concerned about the French cosmetic heritage, on the national and international territory, we spread these values and this anchorage which are dear to us to our collaborators, suppliers, customers and hairdressers partners.

It is thus quite naturally in this ambition, as well as in our will to optimize our impact on the environment and to promote the French territory, that we made the choice to support the short circuits:

We source our packaging and natural, synthetic or chemical ingredients with the utmost rigor from nearly 200 suppliers, 82% of whom are located in France and 96% in Europe. For example, all of our partner hairdressers’ one-liter containers are made in the Sarthe region of France and our product labels are made in France.
We create and develop all our products in our Research & Innovation laboratory in the Paris region, favoring the use of French raw materials as much as possible.
We manufacture more than 90% of our products in Reims (and more than 95% for Eugène Perma Professionnel), 150km from our headquarters. For the professional, the only products we cannot manufacture are powders and aerosols which come from Europe, and more precisely from Italy and Spain. For the group, these are the brands of Laboratoire Laurence Dumont.
We transport our products thanks to a logistician located 40 km from our production site. The boxes for our products are made by cardboard manufacturers located near the production site. We are a member of the Changes initiative, a pooling of flows from the cosmetics industry with the aim of decarbonation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Some of the pooled flows are made with Oleo100, a biofuel made from 100% rapeseed grown and processed in France, and combine rail and road. With the other members of the initiative, our ambition is to have 100% of shared transport flows using green solutions by 2024. Today, 87% of transport to supermarkets is green transport, i.e. transported by Oleo100 or piggyback.

We are also strengthening our local roots through the commitments made by our brands. Nat&Nove BIO, our committed brand certified COSMOS by ECOCERT, has been a partner of MiiMOSA, a participative financing platform for French organic agriculture and sustainable food. In two years of collaboration, through their “Committed Harvest” operation, Nat&Nove BIO and MiiMOSA have :

Collected 162 000 € for the projects
Supported 37 farmers
Conducted 154 hectares of land in organic agriculture
Planted 3 730 trees on the farms

In addition, for the past two years, Eugène Perma Professionnel has been a partner of Capillum, the first hair recycling and recovery network in France. Our partner salons are equipped with collection points to collect hair in order to make it a resource and not a waste product. The hair is recycled and transformed to be used in medical research, water and soil decontamination and agricultural mulching.
